I was looking for a cool quote to put with my post over in Hope Unbroken and I found this one that I just had to post over here:

BOOM! I finished my novel!

Well... the rough draft anyway :P But that still counts! You have to get the rough draft out in order to finish your novel, that's a major step. You can't edit a blank page. :)

In addition to doing plotting for Hope Unbroken and getting ready for writing it come March 1st, I've also been doing some figuring out for the editing stage which will come sometime after I take a hiatus in July and quite possibly August. I've been working on what things I would edit for first and made a couple checklists. 

I've also had a technical issue with my orders from CreateSpace and have been trying to get that sorted out. One of the fonts didn't print properly and I've been working with the CreateSpace team to get it fixed. I've got a replacement copy coming tomorrow, so we'll see if that problem was fixed... There's something I could try on my end and I might have to do that, but at this point we're thinking it was a printing glitch on their end. So we'll see :P

I got an Inspired idea that once my editing does roll around, I'm going to have a ton of versions of my books laying all over the place that have different drafts in them and edits from different people. Organization is going to be key.

So the idea that I had was that while I'm working in the semi-organized system I have, is that I'll be sending the manuscript out to two or three people to edit it at a time. Then I'll wait for their comments to come back. I'll fix anything I need to, then send it to two or three more people. Repeat.

What I would do, instead of having an actual printed manuscript on 400 sheets of 8.5x11 paper, I would actually order printed copies in "book form" from CreateSpace and send them to my people. It would be a whole lot easier for me to just order the copies instead of printing it myself. 

Buuuuuuut with all those book copies, I need some sort of system to keep track of what versions are what. So I designed a little label that I can stick on the last page that tells me what Version the book is, what the book's Status is, when it was last Modified, and what Copy number it is. We'll see how it works!

*muffled screams of excitement* 

It's so beautiful and I'm so excited to start Book 2: Hope Unbroken!!

Finished the 2nd Draft of Faith Unshaken! Clocked in at 83,000 words and 535 pages! It's under where I had originally intended to be, but it's just a draft and 90,000 was just something to shoot for. I'd safe for sure 80,000 is my minimum word count for the trilogy, probably 85-90 being ideal, but whatever God wills!

Did extra writing yesterday, wrote almost 5,000 words, so I should finish 3 days ahead of schedule unless I can get myself even further ahead :) Currently getting my print out of it up to date--because I'm paranoid and want to have a hard copy just in case of some random thing happening and causing me to loose my document and my backups XD

81,000 words, but I might not quite make it to 90,000 but I'm happy if it falls at 85,000 or so which I'm guessing is where it'll end up. :)

While writing, I was trying to find another word for propulsion or velocity. So I was typing words in then using the Thesaurus built into MS Word.

​Then I typed in "force"

The resulting sentence is hilarious. 

This went from a Christian Fantasy novel to Sci-Fi Fan-Fic very quickly XD
